Central Anatolia Konya Tulle Prayer Rug

It was woven from sheep wool and goat wool (mohair) 50-60 years ago in Karapinar district of Konya in the Central Anatolia Region. This tulle, coloured with local root dyes, becomes brighter as it ages and is washed. Red, yellow, green, white, pink  and dark blue are used in this tulle produced as prayer rugs. Pile height is 2 cm. 

Due to the differences in light during the photographing of the products, there may be differences in colour tones between the photograph and the actual product. Some products may have been stored in chests for many years without being used, while others may have been used. Some parts of the products may have undergone minor repairs over the years; on the other hand, some parts have not been touched in order not to spoil the originality. We have tried to reflect such situations as much as possible in the pictures. Please pay attention to these small details when purchasing your product.
