Kayseri Hand Woven Wolf Mouth Rug
Size 3,87 feet x 6,66 feetIt was woven 15-20 years ago in the villages of Kayseri in the Central Anatolia Region. It was woven with wool on wool yarns and coloured with root dyes. It got its name from the wolf mouth motifs in the middle of the rug. The wolf mouth symbol comes from the pre-Islamic Shaman Turks. It is woven into rugs to protect people from dangers.Due to differences in light during the photographing of the products, there may be differences in colour tones between the photograph and the actual product.
