Konya Striped Kilim
169cm x 235 cm/ 5'54'' x 7'71''
It was woven 50-60 years ago in Konya in the Central Anatolia Region. It was woven with wool yarns. The wool was spun with a primitive method called kirman. It was dyed with root dyes in the region. Due to its multi-coloured lines, it matches every decoration. The 3-fingered hand or comb symbol on it is usually woven to protect the place from malicious people. Sometimes it is associated with the desire to get married and sometimes with birth.
