It was woven with wool on wool yarns in Cihanbeyli District of Konya in Central Anatolia Region 70-80 years ago. It is completely coloured with root dyes. Black colour is used on the ground. It is a multi-coloured rug. There are symbols such as fertility, abundance and protection from natural disasters embroidered with cicim technique. For more information about the meanings of the symbols, please visit our blog page. This runner rug was woven by the Canbeg Kurdish tribe of the Cihanbeyli region. The Canbeg Tribe are known all over the world for their fine weavings. Collectors and museums have many examples of weaving.
