Konya Cihanbeyli Kurdish Black Runner

It was woven with wool on wool yarns in Cihanbeyli
District of Konya in Central Anatolia Region 70-80 years ago. It is completely
coloured with root dyes. Black colour is used on the ground. It is a
multi-coloured rug. There are symbols such as fertility, abundance and
protection from natural disasters embroidered with cicim technique. For more

runner rug was woven by the Canbeg Kurdish tribe of the Cihanbeyli region. The
Canbeg Tribe are known all over the world for their fine weavings. Collectors
and museums have many examples of weaving. Due to differences in light during
the photography of the products, there may be differences in colour tones

stored in chests for many years without any use, while some products may have
been used. Some parts of the products may have undergone minor repairs over the
