Hand Woven Central Asian Kazakh Rug

               Woven in Central Asia, this rug is made of 100% wool and is a weft-faced weaving, that is, a buttonhole rug.  The side borders are dominated by pink and brown tones throughout the rug. There are two rows of scorpion symbols and 2 rows of waterway symbols on this runner rug, which was completely colored with plant and root dyes 35-45 years ago with a geometric pattern.

               Due to differences in light during the photographing of the products, there may be differences in color tones between the photograph and the actual product. Some products may have been stored in chests for many years without being used and some products may have been used. Some parts of the products may have undergone minor repairs over the years, while some parts have not been touched in order not to disturb the originality.
