West Anatolia Denizli Baklava Rug

       The tradition of weaving in West Anatolia, especially in and around Denizli, dates back to ancient times. Our rug has emerged as a part of this rich tradition. It is produced using 100% Kirman wool yarn. The yarns are colored with natural dyes derived from walnut shells, onion husks, acorns, sumac and many other herbs and roots. These natural dyes ensure the vibrancy and naturalness of the colors of our rug.

               The yarns were dyed at home using primitive methods and woven on primitive looms. This process makes our rug special and gives it a special value. Traditional methods and the use of natural materials emphasize the uniqueness and cultural significance of the rug. Therefore, our kilim should be seen not only as a household item, but also as part of a heritage that is thousands of years old.

                Due to differences in lighting during the photography of the products, there may be differences in color tones between the photograph and the actual product. Some products may have been stored in chests for many years without ever being used, while others may have been used. Some parts of the products may have undergone minor repairs over the years, while some parts have not been touched in order not to disturb the originality.
