Hand Woven Kazakh Rug

               This Kazakh rug, woven 50-60 years ago entirely from wool, is colored with natural herbal dyes and root dyes. Yellow, blue, black and white colors are used on a red background. On this rug you can find the symbols of scorpion, wolf mouth (wolf print), fetter, comb and yin yang. With these symbols on it, people have believed for generations that they will be protected from evil, the evil eye, blessings will come to their home and the continuity of their species.
