Turkmen Bukhara Hand-Woven Carpet

               It was woven 40-50 years ago in Turkmenistan Bukhara Region with Yak wool known as Tibetan Ox and Turkish knot. Since Yak wool is used, the carpet looks dull and dark on one side and bright on the other. The carpet is dominated by red color. It is colored only with root dyes. The carpet has motifs known as lake, which is unique to Bukhara. It is frequently preferred in home decorations all over the world.

               Due to the differences in light during the photo shoots of the products, there may be differences in color tones between the photo and the actual product. Some products may have been stored in chests for many years without ever being used, while some products may have been used. Some parts of the products may have undergone minor repairs over the years, while some parts have not been touched in order not to disturb the originality.
