      This authentic Erzurum runner kilim is a remarkable piece that reflects the traditions of Eastern Anatolia. Woven approximately 80 to 90 years ago, it was crafted hand spun wool and naturally dyed with plant based pigments. Originally made to warm long corridors in cold mountain homes, such runners were both practical and artistic expressions of their times.

        The rhythmic patterns over the red background carry symbolic Anatolian motifs. while the surrounding borders add visual harmony of the design. The gentle fading of the colours over time adds depth and character, telling the story of its journey through  the decades.
