This striped rug runner was handwoven in rural villages around the Aegean and the Central Anatolia regions, using old fabric scraps and leftover treads. Traditionally made from worn clothes, household textiles and surplus yarns, these Kilms not only carry nostalgic value but also represent a beautiful example of sustanable craftsmanship.
It is approximately 60-70 years old and can be used as a decorative and the functional piece in narrow spaces such as hallways,entrances or kitchens.
As all materials used in weaving were recycled, this kilim reflect a zero-waste philosophy and promotes eco-friendly lifestyle.
