Iran Soumak Rug

This kilim woven by Iranian tribes in Caucasus region, is brand new and has never been used. It is woven with woolen treads on a wool base. The wool has been spun using a kirman and dyed with natural root dyes found in the region. It has been crafted using the soumak weaving technique.
The border of the kilim features six-petalled clovers and hook motifs. The central part is divided in to 32 sections, each containing various star symbols, along with motifs such as the ram's horn, scorpion and wolf mouth. Due to differences in light during the photography of the products, there may be differences in color tones between the photograph and the actual product.
