Manisa Hand Woven Hemp Cicim Rug
4'7 ft x 6'16 ft
This rug was woven 30-40 years ago in Manisa Province in the West Anatolia Region with wool yarns on hemp. The geometric shapes on it are woven with cicim technique. Hemp is a durable, natural, sustainable material as it reduces water consumption and carbon emission. Hemp is stronger, more absorbent, insulating and mould resistant than cotton. This means that it keeps you cooler in summer and warmer in winter. Due to differences in light during the photography of the products, there may be differences in colour tones between the photograph and the actual product. Some products may have been stored in chests for many years without any use, while some products may have been used. Some parts of the products may have undergone minor repairs over the years, while some parts have not been touched in order not to spoil the originality. We have tried to reflect such situations as much as possible in the pictures. Please pay attention to these small details when purchasing your product.
