West Anatolia Manisa Hemp Apple Rug

This rug was woven with hemp yarns in Manisa Province in West Anatolia 60-70 years ago. It is not known when the apples on it were woven, but they add a modern and bohemian touch to this soft rug. Hemp is a durable, natural, sustainable material that reduces water consumption and carbon emissions. Hemp is stronger than cotton, more absorbent, insulating and resistant to mold and mildew. This means it keeps you cooler in summer and warmer in winter.
